Grannar's Waltz Saturday, February 23, 2008 Skandia Hall, Pasadena
In 2005, Grannar, a folk music trio from Sweden, made a concert tour of the west coast of the United States. They didn't make it to Los Angeles, but I got a copy of their first CD Glädjepojkar. It was fabulous!! It inspired me to compose several new tunes, which I named in their honor, and sent to them. One of those, Grannar's Waltz, they took a fancy to and recorded on their second CD Sofiagatan. In February of 2008, they made their second west coast tour and finally made it to Los Angeles. This is a video of them playing it for a dance at Skandia Hall in Pasadena, CA.
